Pikeville jumped out to a three-touchdown lead in the opening quarter and the Panthers went on to beat Lexington Christian, 60-21, in a game played at Hillard Howard Field on Friday night.
Running back Blake Birchfield ran for a record setting 350 yards and six touchdowns as Pikeville won its third straight game and moved to 3-2. He had TD runs of 1, 59, 80, 23, 40 and 13 yards.
Quarterback Isaac Duty added 67 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns.
Peyton Sayers, Isaac Coleman and Birchfield each picked off LCA quarterback Cutter Boley.
Pikeville will welcome undefeated Madison Central (5-0) on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
