HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Pikeville remains No. 1; JC second in Super 7 poll

Pikeville was a unanimous No. 1 following the Panthers 48-13 victory over then No. 2 Belfry on Friday night. 

The Panthers moved to 2-2 with the win. Both losses came to state powers Corbin and Covington Catholic. 

Johnson Central (3-2) moved up to No. 2 after an impressive home win over Waverly, Ohio. The Golden Eagles are followed by Lawrence County, now 3-1, in at No. 3. 

Logan (4-0) climbed up to No. 4 after the Wildcats dismantled Poca. The Wildcats are followed by Shelby Valley (2-2) in at No. 5. The Wildcats were idle this week. 

Rounding out the poll are Belfry (2-3) at No.6, followed by undefeated Prestonsburg (5-0) at No. 7. 

Receiving votes are Tug Valley (4-0), Letcher Central (3-2), Man (3-1), and Chapmanville (3-1).
