HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Pikeville slams Madison Central

Pikeville quarterback Isaac Duty tossed a pair of second-quarter touchdown passes to Wade Hensley and the Panthers pulled away from Class 6A Madison Central, 50-14, in a game played at Hillard Howard Field on Friday night. 

The Panthers improved to 4-2 while the Indians lost for the first time in six games. 

Tayvian Boykins, Carson Wright, Brenden Anthony, and Duty added rushing touchdowns. Duty passed for 151 yards and two scores, completing 12-of-16 passes. 

Running back Blake Birchfield ran for 104 yards on 17 carries and Boykins added 93 yards on seven rushes. 

The Panthers will travel to Lexington to face Sayre (4-2) on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
