HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Tug Valley steamrolls East Ridge

Tug Valley jumped ahead early on, and the Panthers went on to beat East Ridge, 54-6, in a game played at the Reservation on Friday night.

Running back Bryson Elia topped 200 yards of total offense for the second consecutive week as he picked up 212 yards and scored four touchdowns. He rushed 11 times for 107 yards and two scores while also making four catches for 105 yards and two scores.

In just his second start under center quarterback Preston May passed for five touchdowns as he completed 13-18 passes for 247 yards. 

Ashton Davis, Buddy Marcum, Cameron Slone, and Elia had TD receptions.

East Ridge’s lone score came on a 13-yard pass from Landon Robinson to Keaton Puckett.

The Warriors, now 2-2, will host Jenkins (0-4) on Friday night. Kickoff is 7:30 pm. Tug Valley, 3-1 and winners of three straight, will be idle until Sept. 29 when the Panthers host Tolsia (1-2). Game time is 7:30 pm.
