HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER: Belfry kicks Harlan County; JC girls edge Powell County

Belfry’s Noah Hale scored three goals and assisted on a fourth as the Pirates beat Harlan County, 7-1, in a match played at Massey Energy Soccer Complex on Tuesday night.

Isaac Elia added two goals and an assist while Nick Savage had a pair of goals and two assists.

Goalkeeper Makaden Maynard allowed just one goal.

Johnson Central goalkeeper Abigail Ramey stopped 10 shots on goal and preserved a 1-0 shutout win over Powell County on the road Tuesday night.

Kiersten Sagraves took an assist from Brooklyn Ousley and knocked in the only goal.

Lawrence County…2

Pikeville’s Rylee Theiss finished with five goals and one assist to lead the Lady Panthers to a 6-2 road win over Lawrence County on Tuesday night.

Josie Clevinger added one goal. She had an assist along with Leighan Jackson and Livie Thacker.

Goalkeeper Larren Collins stopped 14 shots on goal.

Letcher Central’s Kelsey Goins scored a pair of goals as the Lady Cougars edged Pikeville, 2-1, in a match played at Cougar Field on Monday night.

Goalkeeper Chloe Webb had 17 saves and allowed just one goal.

Rylee Theiss scored the Lady Panthers goal while Larren Collins had 10 saves between the pipes.

Martin County’s Sophie McCoy knocked in four goals and assisted on two others as the Lady Cardinals cruised to a 10-0 win over Belfry in a match played on Monday night.

Faith Caldwell added two goals and assisted on five goals. 

Laura Hale and Caitlyn Horn added two goals each.

Goalkeeper Addison Duncan stopped five shots and recorded the shutout.
