Prestonsburg continued its 15th Region dominance as the Blackcats blanked Lawrence County, 3-0, in the boys’ championship match played at Massey Energy Soccer Complex on Wednesday night.
Preston Crase knocked in two goals and Grant Burchett added one. Matt Burchett had two assists and Dylan Moore finished with one.
Goalkeeper Jacob Martin recorded the shutout win, his 10th this season and second straight.
Lawrence County goalie Trenton Adkins had 17 saves in the loss.
The Blackcats, now 15-1, will play in the opening round of the state tournament at Corbin on Saturday. The Greyhounds are 11-1. The match begins at 4 p.m.
