Martin County punched its ticket to the 15th Region girls’ soccer championship match with a 9-0 win over Pikeville in a match played at Jim Matney Field on Monday night.
The Lady Cardinals, now 18-3, will face Prestonsburg in the finals on Thursday. Action begins at 6:15 pm.
Faith Caldwell finished with three goals and one assist while Sophie McCoy scored a pair of goals and added five assists. Laura Hale had two goals and an assist.
Lena Hale scored and aided on two other goals while Hailey Damron net one.
Goalkeeper Addison Duncan stopped six shots on goal.
Pikeville’s Lauren Collins finished with 13 saves as the Lady Panthers season ended at 10-7.
