Man High pitcher Morgan Cooper pitched a one-hit shutout and the Lady Billies pushed across three runs in the bottom of the first inning to beat Buffalo, 3-0, in the Class A, Region IV, Section 1 softball championship played on the home turf Tuesday night.
Cooper struck out 15 batters and did not allow a walk as Man moved to 18-2 overall, advancing to the Region IV tournament against unbeaten Wahama.
Ashley Tomblin doubled in a pair of runs while Cooper doubled, singled, walked and scored. Bailey Muncy added two hits. McKinley Cline and Carly Muncy scored one run each.
