The Pikeville Lady Panthers and Paintsville Lady Tigers scored lopsided wins in the girls’ 15th Region All ‘A’ classic tournament semifinals played at Cardinal Park in Inez on Thursday night.
Pikeville shortstop Cassidy Slater had four hits, including a double, scored three runs and batted in one as the Lady Panthers rolled to an 11-1 win over Betsy Layne.
Cate Salyers and Larren Collins added two hits apiece, scored once and added an RBI each. Izzi Rose added two hits. Gracie Hall tripled and scored twice.
Emily Johnson grounded out to drive in the lone run for the Ladycats. Brookelyn Thacker walked twice and scored.
In the opener, Lady Tiger hurler Laney Bledsoe tossed a no-hitter in a 16-0, mercy-rule win over East Ridge.
She had a big game of her own at the plate with four hits, scored four runs and batted in two. Chessa Collins had two hits, knocked in three runs, and scored twice.
Ashley Wells collected three hits, including a triple and double, scored three runs and knocked in three. Maggie Music added three hits, including a pair of doubles, scored one run, and drove in three..
The championship game is scheduled for Friday evening, weather permitting.
