HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Pikeville splits four matches at Lady Colonels Classic

Pikeville split four matches played in the First Priority Lady Colonels Classic played at Whitley County High School on Saturday.

Pikeville opened tournament play with a 2-0 win over Cumberland Homeschool.

McKinlee Potter had 21 kills and six digs  in the 25-15 and 25-19 win.

Hannah Akers added eight kills while Jenna Tausha Justice added 11 digs and Grace Clark had 35 assists and four digs. Jenna Ousley finished with 14 digs.

Pikeville dropped a close opening set to Franklin County and fell in a 2-1 match.

McKinlee Potter had 19 kills in the 23-25, 25-18, and 12-25 loss. Caroline Wright followed with nine kills and Hannah Akers added eight and three blocks.

Jenna Ousley had 24 digs and Tausha Justice had 17. Grace Clark totaled 40 assists.

Pikeville fell behind in the early going to Wayne County and dropped a 2-0 match.

McKinlee Potter totaled 14 kills and five digs in the 25-18 and 25-19 loss. Hannah Akers added four kills and four blocks while Grace Clark finished with 26 assists, five digs and three aces.

Jenna Ousley had 14 digs and Caroline Wright added six kills and one block.

Pikeville dominated from start to finish in a 2-0 win over Bell County.

McKinlee Potter finished with 15 kills, one block and four digs in the 25-9 and 25-6 win.

Caroline Wright had eight kills and Jenna Ousley totaled 13 digs. Kara Lee added 10 digs and four serving aces. Grace Clark had 32 assists and three digs.
