UPIKE women’s golf prepares to launch the 2022 fall campaign this weekend in Laconia, Indiana at the Battle at Chariot Run. The Bears look ahead at a schedule complete with six events, including a UPIKE hosted invitational at StoneCrest.
Head Coach Nelson Scott gears up for his 12th season leading the women’s golf program. For the first time since 2017, Scott is without NAIA All-American Boo Newsome on the roster. Newsome, who earned five MSC Player of the Week awards a season ago, will join the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant after five seasons in competition.
The opening weekend quickly approaches as the Bears prepare for the Battle at Chariot Run, hosted by Spalding University.
Round one begins Saturday, August 27 and will finish on Sunday.
On Monday, September 12, the Bears head to Lexington for the Asbury Fall Invitational. The two day match is held at Kearney Hills Golf Course boasts a yardage of 7079.
Mark the calendar for the weekend of September 24, which will see the Bears return to StoneCrest Golf Course for their annual UPIKE Fall Invitational.
The Bears move quickly to Johnson City, Tenn., for the East Tennessee Collegiate hosted by Milligan University. The event begins on Monday, September 26 and wraps up on Tuesday.
On Monday, October 3, the Bears tee-off at the Music City Invitational in Goodlettsville, TN. The event is hosted by Cumberland University.
The Bears head to Bowling Green to wrap up the fall campaign at the MSC Fall Invitational.
