Letcher Central and Perry Central battled for the 14th Region softball championship on Monday, one day after it was washed out.
The Lady Commodores broke open a one-run game by scoring six runs in the seventh inning to beat the Lady Cougars, 8-2.
Alyssa Dixom and Ashlyn Dixon drove in a pair of runs each. Winning pitcher Kaitlyn Grigsby allowed just three hits.
Perry Central, now 30-5, will advance to the state tournament and face East Jessamine at John Croop Field in Lexington on Friday.
Kara Holcomb doubled and scored in the loss while Autumn Wampler and Kate Combs added a single each. Combs also walked and scored.
Alyssa Nicely was the losing pitcher as the Lady Cougars season ended at 25-12.
