Lawrence County and Floyd Central battled back-and-forth before the Lady Bulldogs held on late to score a 57-53 win in the 58th District tournament championship game on Wednesday night.
The Lady Bulldogs, now 27-5, won the tournament title for the fourth straight season. The Lady jaguars dropped to 19-10.
Miss Basketball candidate Kensley Feltner poured in a game-high 3 points. She added 12 rebounds to finish with a double-double.
Sophie Adkins added 13 and was honored for scoring her 1,000th career point.
Madi Meade led Floyd Central with 18 points and Kennedy Harvell finished with 13. Jada Johnson added nine.
Both teams move on to the 15th Region tournament next week in Pikeville.
