Perry Central’s defense forced three Letcher Central turnovers and scored on a safety to knock off the Cougars, 20-6, in a game played at Cougar Field on Friday night.
Quarterback Kizer Slone passed for 173 yards and two touchdowns as the Commodores improved to 5-3.
Receiver Noah Kilburn had 96 yards and two touchdowns on six catches. Placekicker Beau Bakun added a field goal.
Garrett Howard rushed for Letcher Central’s only points. He had 75 yards on three carries.
Letcher Central will travel to Whitley County (5-3) and the Commodores go to Corbin (8-0) on Friday night. Both games will kick off at 7:30 pm.
