COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Bears advance to tourney quarterfinals

The university of Pikeville Bears advanced to the Mid-South Conference Tournament quarterfinals in Bowling Green following an 84-74 win over Campbellsville at the UPIKE Gymnasium on Tuesday night.

UPIKE, now 12-11, landed five players in double figures, led by Jacob Brown’s 20 points. Korbin Spencer followed with 19 points and Jamir Simpson added 15. Malcolm Green and Darius Love tossed in 10 each.

UPIKE will be in action against Georgetown College on February 28. Game time is 6 pm.
