COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Bears fall to No. 1 Georgetown

Clutch free throw shooting in the second half help to lead the top-ranked Georgetown Tigers to a 90-79 win over the University of Pikeville men’s Bears in Mid-South Conference action played at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Saturday.

UPIKE dropped to 2-3 overall and 1-3 in league play heading into Monday night’s game with Campbellsville-Harrodsburg (1-2) at home. Tipoff is set for 7 pm.

Korbin Spencer led Four Bears in double-figure scoring with 17 points. Malcolm Green continued his solid play with 16 points while Jacob Brown knocked in 15 and Jamir Simpson tossed in 10.
