COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Bears race past RedHawks

The University of Pikeville men’s Bears rolled to an 84-71 win over Martin Methodist (Tenn.) to improve to 8-8 overall and 7-8 in Mid-South Conference action in a game played at the Appalachian Wireless arena on Saturday.

UPIKE landed three players in double-figure scoring as Korbin Spencer led the way with a game-high 21 points. Darius Love and Malcolm Green tossed in 15 points apiece. Jacob Brown chipped in nine.

The Bears will hit the road to Campbellsville this Thursday night. Tipoff is set for 8 pm.
