COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Bears top Georgetown; move to 5-0

The University of Pikeville Bears held off previously unbeaten Georgetown College down the stretch to score a 72-66 win at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Saturday.

UPIKE moved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Mid-South Conference play. The Tigers fell to 5-1.

Taevon Horton poured in 23 points and Maurice Dickson finished with 13 while Kenyon Duling added 10.

The Bears will travel to Emory & Henry (3-1) on Tuesday. Tipoff is set for 6 pm.
