COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UPIKE men fall at Georgetown College

The University of Pikeville Bears struggled offensively in the opening half and Georgetown built a 21-point lead and cruised to a 78-58 Mid-South Conference win in a game played Saturday.

The Bears, now 9-9, were led by Christian Sweazie’s game-high 20 points. Jamir Simpson followed with 11 and Korbin Spencer chipped in nine.

UPIKE visits Shawnee State (19-2) on Thursday. Tipoff is 8 pm.
