COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UPIKE women look to run winning streak to 13

The University of Pikeville women basketball Bears haven’t lost a game since Dec. 8.

Coach Clifton Williams’ team will look to run its winning streak to 13 games when they host Campbellsville University (21-1) at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Thursday.

Game time is set for 5:30 pm.

The Bears won a pair of road games in Tennessee on Thursday and Saturday.

The Bears used a solid second-half performance to pull away and beat Tennessee-Southern, 75-55, in a game played in Pulaski, Tenn., on Saturday.

UPIKE ran its winning streak to 12 games.

Allie Stone poured in 26 points and Mary Englert finished with 17 as the Bears moved to 18-4. Bailey Frazier tossed in 10.

Allie Stone followed with 14 points and Sierra Feltner chipped in nine.
