COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UPIKE women stumble at SSU

The University of Pikeville women basketball Bears saw a first-half lead slip away as Shawnee State rallied in the second half for an 80-72 victory in a game played on Thursday night.

Brianna Burbridge fired in 26 points to lead the scoring. Hailey Free followed with 13 and Sierra Feltner chipped in 10. The bears dropped to 13-7.

UPIKE will host Thomas Moore at the Appalachian Wireless Arena at 1:30 pm on Feb. 6.
