Lawrence County pushed across four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, including three on a fielder’s choice throwing error as the Bulldogs beat Letcher Central, 6-4, in the Kentucky 2A Section 8 championship game played at Floyd Central on Thursday night.
Jake Derifield had three hits and batted in one run while Grayson Maynard singled, walked twice, knocked in one run, and scored twice.
Will Lafferty. Had two hits, walked, and scored two runs in making a winner out of Talan Pollock.
Jaydon Huff collected two singled and drove in a run in the loss. Aiden Fields walked and had an RBI.
Quentin Williams singled, walked, and scored both times on base. Jonah Little scored a pair of runs.
Canaan Herrell was the losing pitcher in relief.
