Letcher Central erupt for six runs in the top of the seventh inning to snap a scoreless game and beat Floyd Central, 6-0, in the opening game of the Kentucky 2A Sectional played on Monday night.
Dawson Kincer had two hits, walked, scored one run, and drove in two. Jaydon Huff doubled, walked twice, batted in one run, and scored.
Clay Hall had two hits, drove in one run, and scored while Aiden Fields singled in one run.
Winning pitcher Quentin Williams allowed just three hits. He struck out 11 batters.
Logan Moore, Kolten Crum, and Jacob Bentley had one hit each for the Jaguars. Jake Martin pitched well in taking the loss.

Lawrence County scored in each of its five innings at the plate and cruised to an 11-1 win over Magoffin County in the Kentucky 2A Sectional game played at Floyd Central on Monday night.
Grove Maynard had two hits, including a double and knocked in five runs while scoring a run. Jake Derifield singled in two runs and scored.
Will Lafferty doubled and walked twice, and scored a pair of runs while Abner Collinsworth collected three hits, including a double, drove in one run and scored. Cody Crum singled in a run and scored.
Winning pitcher Braxton Davis allowed only two hits. He fanned six.
Losing pitcher Ian McCarty and Kaden Back each singled in the loss and Colin Litteral reached and scored the Hornets lone run.
