HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Adams fuels Cougars win over Black Bears

Letcher Central quarterback Carson Adams had a big game in leading the Cougars to a 51-14 win over Harlan County at Coal Miners Memorial Stadium on Friday night.

Adams passed for 257 yards and four touchdowns, and he rushed for 115 yards and three scores on just seven carries as the Cougars moved to 5-1 and won their third straight game.

Receiver Nicholas Haning hauled in three passes, two for touchdowns, and finished with 112 yards while Jonah Little caught four passes for 92 yards and one score. Hayden Brashear added a TD reception.

Letcher Central will return to action this Friday night at Clay County (4-2). Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
