
Letcher Central remained unbeaten as the Cougars went on the road and knocked off Perry County Central, 28-7, in a game played on Friday night.
Quarterback Carson Adams passed for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns and rushed for 67 yards and another score as the Cougars moved to 3-0.
Running back Hayden Brashear ran 10 times for 121 yards and one touchdown. Sam Little hauled in a 17-yard touchdown pass and Reece Barnette had a 17-yard TD reception.
Keaton Day led the defense, which was solid again, with 13 points and Jepatha Griffith had 12. Kaden Barnette picked off a pass and Dakota Hall had a fumble recovery.
Letcher Central will host Harlan County (1-2) on Oct. 2. Kickoff from Cougar Field is set for 7:30 p.m.
