HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Cougars steamroll past Commodores

Letcher Central took control early on and the Cougars scored an impressive 42-6 district win over Perry Central in a game played at Cougar Field on Friday night.

Quarterback Carson Adams passed for 175 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 187 yards and one score on 15 attempts.

Running backs Jonah Little and Hayden Brashear each had a rushing touchdown as the Cougars improved to 4-1. Little added a receiving touchdown along with Wyatt Ison.

Jackson Meade returned a fumble 36 yards to paydirt.

Letcher Central will journey to Harlan County (2-3) on Friday night in the Coal Bowl.
