HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Hornets turn away Jaguars in shootout

Magoffin County took the lead away from Floyd Central late in the second period and went on to score a 46-36 win in a game played on the home turf on Thursday night.

Quarterback Lucas Litteral passed for 392 yards and a pair of touchdowns while rushing for 54 yards and four scores in the win.

Wide receiver Aden Barnett hauled in five passes for 241 yards and a touchdown. Brad Standifer caught five passes for 101 yards and a score. Running back Ben Lafferty rushed for a touchdown.

Floyd Central’s Blake Adams finished with 133 yards on the ground and two touchdowns on 21 rushing attempts. Sheston Johnson added 103 yards and a score on 14 carries.

Quarterback Max Martin tossed a pair of touchdown passes, his first this season. BJ Peterson and Brody Buck had one each.
