HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Jaguars win first home game since 2019

This win has been a long time coming.

Floyd Central used a balance of run and pass to knock off Powell County, 36-22, at Jaguars Stadium on Thursday night.

It was the Jaguas first home win since Sept. 20, 2019, and they improved to 2-1.

Running back BJ Petersen rushed for 97 yards and three scores. Quarterback Colt Shelton passed for 102 yards and two touchdowns, both going to Brody Buck. 

Floyd Central will next play at home on Friday night, hosting the West Carter Comets (0-2). Kickoff is 7:30 pm.
