Letcher Central played from behind throughout the game against Breathitt County down on the riverbank Friday night.
Trailing 21-19 with less than one minute to play, quarterback Gunner Holbrook hit Gavin Brown with the game-winning touchdown reception as the Cougars stunned the Bobcats, 25-21.
Holbrook passed for 135 yards and three scores as Central moved to 4-2 and won for the third straight week.
Quinton Williams and Brett Smith had a touchdown catch each. Williams also ran for a score.
The Cougars are idle this week before hosting Corbin (5-0) on Oct. 6. Kickoff at Cougar Stadium is set for 7:30 pm. The Bobcats, now 2-4, host Somerset (4-2) on Friday. Game time is 7:30 pm.
