HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Shelton scores as time expires to lift Jags

Floyd Central quarterback Colt Shelton scored on a one yard run as time expired on the clock to lift the Jaguars to a thrilling 28-27 win over West Carter at Jaguar Stadium on Friday night.

The Jaguars improved to 3-1 with the win heading into this Friday’s showdown with Betsy Layne (4-0) on the road. 

Shelton passed for 184 yards and two touchdowns, one each to BJ Petersen and Brody Buck. Buck caught five passes for 103 yards. Petersen added 116 yards rushing and one score.
