Pike Central’s Sydney Thompson singled home the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Lady Hawks to a thrilling 4-3 win over Lawrence County in the Kentucky 2A, Section 8 semifinal game played at Floyd Central on Tuesday night.
Emalie Tackett tripled, walked twice, and scored two runs in the win. Winning pitcher Chloe Hannah added an RBI single.
Kensley Feltner had three hits, including a triple and double, walked, scored one run, and batted in one.
Allie Triplett added an RBI single, and Gracie Preece had two hits and scored one run.
Taylor Blevins was the losing pitcher.

Myra Blevins had two hits, scored a pair of runs and batted in one. Natalie Fite doubled and singled, walked twice and scored.
Fahm had two hits, including a double, and knocked in two runs. Bella Howard singled and walked twice while driving in a run. Alexia Bevins added three hits, scored once, and added an RBI.
