Pike Central’s Emalie Tackett had three hits, including a double, and drove in two runs as the Lady Hawks won their second straight Kentucky 2A Section 8 championship with a 4-1 win over Belfry at Floyd Central on Thursday.
Winning pitcher Chloe Hannah struck out 12 batters as Central won its second straight title. Livia Sanders and Hannah May both walked, scored and batted in one run. Jaycie Stanley singled and scored.
Natalie Fite had two hits and batted in the lone Belfry run. Myra Bevins singled and scored.
Molly Fahm was the losing pitcher.
