Pikeville quarterback Isaac McNamee came up big in the Panthers’ opening round playoff matchup with Sayre this past Friday night.
The Panther gunslinger tossed four touchdown passes and ran for two others to power his team to an impressive 49-13 win over Spartans.
McNamee’s effort has earned him Mountain Top Sports and Buffalo Wild Wings Player of the week.
He edged out Belfry’s Mr. Football candidate Isaac Dixon, who had just three rushes for 115 yards and three touchdowns. He added a 51-yard pass reception for a score and returned a punt 46 yards to set up another score.

Johnson Central quarterback Grant Rice passed for 213 yards and three touchdowns in the Golden Eagles win over Harlan County..
Pikeville receiver Zac Lockhart had 98 yards and two touchdowns.
Paintsville running back Harris Phelps ran for 126 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers win over Betsy Layne. Quarterback Karsten Poe passed for 170 yards and one score. He also ran for a touchdown.
Shelby Valley’s Ethan Bentley had a 99-yard interception return in the Wildcats win over Martin County. Quarterback Russ Osborne passed for a touchdown and ran for another.
Phelps quarterback Dominick Francis passed for a score and ran for another in the Hornets loss at Hazard.
Letcher Central quarterback Carson Adams passed for 124 yards and two touchdowns in the Cougars big win over Perry Central. Running back Hayden Brashear rushed for three touchdowns.
Belfry Middle School’s entire team on beating Greenup County, 12-0, in the Middle School Division 3 championship on Saturday at Taylor County.
