HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Anderson runs wild in Hawks win over Pendleton County

Pike County Central running back Matt Anderson rushed for five, first-half touchdowns to lead the Hawks to a 46-12 win over Pendleton County at the Hawks Nest on Saturday night.

Anderson had TD runs of 82, 45, 13, 10 and 13. The 82-yard run came on the first play from scrimmage.

Daymon Scammell added a five-yard run and Cameron Flanery went 12 yards for a score.

Pike Central will next face Shelby Valley in the 37th annual Pike County Bowl at Pikeville on Aug. 27. Kickoff is set for 9 pm.
