Two members of the Betsy Layne Bobcats share this week’s Buffalo Wild Wings Player of the week honors.
Running backs Brady Robinson and Reece Music combined for 592 yards and seven touchdowns in a win over Fairview.
Robinson rushed 26 times for 272 yards and four touchdowns while Music carried 28 times for 320 yards and three scores.
They edged out Shelby Valley quarterback Russ Osborne who passed for 245 yards and four touchdowns in leading the Wildcats to a 62-6 win over Bath County on Friday night. He added a rushing touchdown.
Here is this week’s special honorable mention:
Belfry running back Caden Woolum had a pair of rushing touchdowns (38 and 13 yards), returned a punt for another (50 yards), and hauled in a TD pass (29 yards).
Shelby Valley wide receiver John Fields hauled in four passes for 114 yards and three touchdowns.
Pikeville running back Blake Birchfield ran for 180 yards and four touchdowns on 15 carries.
Paintsville quarterback AJ James passed for 306 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Tigers loss at Raceland.
Tug Valley backup quarterback Jaxon Nenni-Mills passed for 188 yards and three touchdowns as the Panthers improved to 6-2.
Chapmanville running back Kohl Farmer ran for 197 yards and three touchdowns in the Tigers win over Logan.
Honorable mention:
Lawrence County had three running back rush for over 100 yards while improving to 8-1 overall. Cody Crum ran for 177 yards and two touchdowns; Dylan Ferguson added 120 yards and three scores; and Ryan Marcum rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown.
Shelby Valley running back Jayden Newsome ran for 156 yards and two scores.
Johnson Central running back McCoart ran for 193 yards and two scores, including the game winner, as the Golden Eagles moved to 7-2. Mason Lawson had 132 yards and scored three touchdowns on 16 rushing attempts.
Letcher Central quarterback Jonah Little ran for 130 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 135 yards in the loss.
Martin County running back Brock Messer ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns as the Cardinals improved to 6-3. Madden Miller added a pair of short touchdown runs while Julian Stafford took an interception back 79 yards for a score.
Prestonsburg running back Ethan Jarvis rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries as the Blackcats closed out the regular season at 8-2.
