HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Hawks come up short at Perry Central

Pike Central took a two-point lead into the final period before host Perry Central rallied to knock off the Hawks, 37-23, on Friday night.

It was the first win for new PCC head coach Mark Dixon, who came over from Hazard in the off season.

Pike Central running back Tayvain Boykins rushed for two first-half touchdowns and Noah Iricks added a second half score.

Pike Central will play at Letcher Central on Sept. 18. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
