HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Hawks drop road game at Harlan County

 

Harlan County’s Jonah Swanner hauled in four touchdown passes and ran for two others as the Black Bears dismantled Pike Central, 58-21, in a game played at Coal Miners Memorial Stadium on Friday night. 

Central running back Matt Anderson had a big game for the Hawks, now 1-4. He rushed for 225 yards and three scores on 20 rushing attempts. He had TD runs of 50, 80, and 68 yards. 

The Hawks will return to Buckley’s Creek on Friday night to host Floyd Central (0-5) at the Hawks Nest. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
