HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Knuckles powers Hawks past Jaguars

Pike Central quarterback Jamere Knuckles accouted for four touchdowns as the Hawks went on the road to Floyd Central and beat the Jaguars, 28-18, in a game played on Friday night.

He rushed for 155 yards on 19 carries and three scores and passed for another as Pike Central improved to 5-1.

Running back Daymon Scammell finished with 75 yards on 17 rushes. Mason Hess hauled in a four-yard TD reception.

Floyd Central quarterback Colt Shelton tossed three touchdown passes – Brody Buck caught two and Marvin McDonald added one.

The Hawks are idle this week before playing at Shelby Valley (3-3) on Oct. 6. The Jaguars (3-3) go on the road to Knott Central (2-4) this Friday. Game time is 7:30 pm.
